The State of Innovation Youth Innovation Lab provides hands-on programs where youth develop real-world skills through creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurship.
Our programs empower young people to explore career pathways while building confidence, leadership, and practical life skills.
Fashion Design & Merchandising
Students explore creativity and entrepreneurship by designing their own clothing concepts, and understanding how fashion moves from idea to market. Youth develops concepts, and merchandising strategies that introduce them to real careers in the fashion industry.
Gardening
Students will gain hands-on experience in planting, maintaining, and harvesting a garden while learning the fundamentals of sustainability and food systems. Through this process, they will develop responsibility, teamwork, and an understanding of where food comes from.
Culinary Arts
Students learn foundational techniques while creating gourmet eats. Through hands-on kitchen experiences, youth gain skills in food preparation, presentation, teamwork, and culinary entrepreneurship.
Event Planning & Coordinating
Students learn how to design, organize, and execute real events from concept to completion while working together to bring ideas to life.
Gardening
Students in the Gardening Program will learn how to grow their own fruits, vegetables, and plants from seed to harvest while understanding the fundamentals of soil health, watering, and plant care. Through hands-on experiences, they will build patience, confidence, and real-world skills that connect them to both nature and community.
